Notables
- Had the “golden arm” of the South Saskatchewan Baseball League while attending Notre Dame studying for his B.A.
- Completed a B. Ed. From S. Francis Xavier University before returning in 1954 to teach high school and university, and then finally finishing his Masters in Education from the University of Ottawa in 1959.
- Carr was named the president of the Saskatchewan Baseball League in 1964 and was inducted into the Saskatchewan Baseball Hall of Fame in 2011.
