Passing of Jean Housdorff '52

The College extends its condolences to the family and friends of Jean Housdorff (Nepper, Dombowsky, Carr) who passed away on December 23, 2022.     

 

Jean attended Notre Dame College in elementary school (1930’s) through to university graduating in 1952. She was born in Rouleau, but while in Wilcox she met Hugh Carr ‘51 (Dombowsky) and they married in 1953. Both Jean and Hugh had teaching degrees and returned to their beloved Notre Dame to teach while raising their four children. Jean was a student, teacher and community member for almost thirty years. She will be remembered by many as an excellent host, a devout Catholic and an amazing storyteller who would generously offer her wisdom to others.
