2022 Pere Athol Murray Award Presentation

 

Andrew Kreis is a four-year Hound, a House Leader and someone who is well-thought of by his fellow Hounds, as well as by Notre Dame faculty and staff.  He helps make the campus a place where others want to be and a community they want to be a part of.

Andrew inspires others to be better versions of themselves every day at Notre Dame. He is a role model in all areas of student life. He is able to balance his academics with hockey and other extra-curricular activities, as well as with the volunteer roles he takes on such as church and coordinating student activities such as Silver Blade hockey tournament and the 2022 Roller Hockey League.

He has been a part of his team’s leadership group throughout his four years playing Hounds hockey, showing the respect he garners from his peers. His dedication to his team, to improving his skill while also encouraging others is second to none.

 

Andrew is a humble and caring person who interacts with students in all grades and ensures that everyone feels welcome and accepted. He is genuine in all he does and does not compromise his integrity or what is right just to do what is popular.

 

Andrew is a natural leader, hard-working, approachable, dedicated and perhaps most importantly, a friend to all. He exemplifies the ideals of Pere through his kindness, humility, leadership and consideration of others.
