Our Program
The Notre Dame Men’s Hockey program is one of the most prestigious programs in the world. With over 200+ Hounds drafted or signed to the NHL, hockey development is at the forefront of our program.
Every year we have representation provincially, nationally and internationally from our student-athletes.
Notre Dame offers men’s hockey starting with our Jr. A Hounds right down to our U15 Program.

Notre Dame has 10 male hockey teams:
- U15 AA (Hockey Saskatchewan); U15 Prep (CSSHL)
- U16 Prep (CSSHL)
- U17 Prep (CSSHL)
- U18 A (Hockey Regina); Two U18 AA (Hockey Saskatchewan); U18 Prep (CSSHL); U18 AAA (Hockey Saskatchewan)
- Junior A (SJHL)
U15 players are 14 years and younger, U16 Players are 16 years and younger, U17 and U18 players are 17 years and younger while Junior A is for players aged 20 years and younger.
All ages are as of December 31st of the current season. Players are on the ice four to six times per week including practices and games. Notre Dame’s Olympic sized ice surface is the only one in the province of Saskatchewan.
To select our male teams, our coaching staff will use a combination of practices, fitness components, scrimmages, and exhibition games to select their teams prior to October 1st.
The U18 AAA Male Hounds won back to back National Telus Cup Championships in 2009 & 2010 with their latest Telus Cup Championship coming in 2018.
