Rochon Family Bursary

The Rochon Family Bursary was established in 2015 by Joel ’53, Mary Rochon and their son Martin Rochon ’82. Joel grew up in B.C. and attended Notre Dame for 5 years graduating with his Bachelor of Arts. While at Notre Dame he met Mary, and together they lived across Canada with their family, eventually settling in Toronto.

Their sons Martin ‘82 and Murray ‘83 also attended Notre Dame. After graduating from Notre Dame, Martin attended St. Francis Xavier and went on to own Rochon Building Corp. In October 2023, Martin was elected into the St. FX Hall of Fame with his 1983 Championship football team.

 

The Rochon Family Bursary was established to support students who demonstrate the desire to attend Notre Dame and are committed to upholding the values of Father “Père” Athol Murray.
