Passing of Gail Cooney'71

It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Gail Cooney'71 last night.

Gail'71 was the wife to current Board member and former President Terry Cooney‘70 and mother to three Hounds; Matt (Jr. A ’92-’93), Bridget ‘95 and Luke ‘00. Gail had a strong faith and chose to serve the College through her support for others. Gail shied away from the limelight and was consistently present for her family, the Notre Dame staff and students.

On this feast of All Saints Day, please pray for the repose of Gail’s soul and for the Cooney family.
