Statement from President Rob Palmarin

“The College is in the process of investigating this serious accusation regarding a racial remark towards Kishaun Gervais of the Yorkton Terriers.  If it happened, it meaning, one of our students making a racial slur, there is definitely no place for this type of unacceptable behaviour period! These are not the values & practices of Athol Murray College of Notre Dame. If it happened, the person or persons responsible will be held accountable for their actions.

Lastly, as President, on behalf of Notre Dame College, our staff & student body, I want to apologize to the Yorkton player, Kishaun Gervais, and I want to apologize to his family and I want to apologize to the Yorkton Terriers Junior A. Hockey Organization.

One of the school's objectives is to use this as a teaching opportunity to correct this behaviour of our fans, and move forward in a better direction."
