Hounds Outlast Buffaloes For 11-9 Victory

After dropping game one of the Medicine Hat High School tournament 8-6 and winning game two 12-0, the Hounds needed a win in game three to have a chance at making the tournament final.  Quincey Johnson took the hill for the first time of the year and kept the Buffaloes off-balance for five innings leaving with the score tied 7-7.  He scattered seven hits and four walks while picking up two K's.  Lane Peterson, making his second appearance of the tournament, limited the opposition two two runs and with the help of four Hounds runs in their last two At-Bats, and two fantastic catches by CF Joe Epplin, earned his first pitching win, 11-9.  Julien Ducharme paced all Hounds hitters going two for three and also reaching via HBP.  The Hounds now await news of where there 2-1 record will place them in the field of ten teams.  Saturday's game will be either at noon or 2:30.
