Boarding at Notre Dame Community, Leadership, Respect: A Way of Life

As a boarding school, Notre Dame offers the advantages of leadership development and personal growth through an informal curriculum of community living.
Over 85% of our students call Notre Dame their home, living in one of our six residence houses. The boarding environment provides an enriched, experiential learning experience, with a strong focus on leadership skill development, community, responsibility, time management, and self-reliance.

Each residence is administered by a resident House Parent who is supported by three residential assistants as well as a select group of Grade 12 students who have each earned the position of House Leader. Students are housed according to grades and gender and live together in rooms of two to four students. Rooms are attractively decorated with posters, photos, and appropriate memorabilia reflecting each student’s individuality while providing the familiarity of home. Each residential house provides a common area with television and VCR/DVD, snack kitchen facilities, beverage machine and storage space for travel cases and equipment.

Movies, trips into Regina and other special events are organized by our Student Activities Coordinator.
