Pere’s 125th birthday alumnus Schmalz'68 shares a personal reflection
Monday January 9th would have been Pere’s 125th birthday. Alumnus Norine Schmalz'68 shared a personal reflection of her fond memories of Athol Murray.
Interesting enough, when Norine first met Pere she thought he was a “lonely old soul”. After spending a few meal time conversations with him, to her delight, she found out what a magnanimous personality he had.
Norine’s reflection kicked off the application process for our students to nominate(from their peer group) candidates who they think are worthy to receive the National Alumni Association’s Pere Athol Murray Award presented Alumni Weekend in May!
