The "Father Athol Murray Award" to be Awarded Alumni Weekend

Each year the Notre Dame Alumni present a current Notre Dame student with the Father Athol Murray Award. All students, faculty members and staff can nominate one student and a selection committee selects the recipient.

This award is presented to the student who, over this academic year, best exemplified the many characteristics, principles and ideals of the founder of Notre Dame College. The award also recognizes the individual's respect for his/her peers and for the larger community, along with sensitivity to social and cultural values. 

Along with a personal plaque, the student chosen will have her/his name inscribed on a large plaque in Varsity Hall, and will receive a cheque for $1,000.00. The nomination process closed April 1st and the presentation will take place Friday May 18th at 3:30pm to kick off 2018 Alumni Weekend!
