Brendan Kerr'20 Named Pere Athol Murray Award Winner

The Award is presented to the Notre Dame student who best exemplifies the characteristics, principles and ideals of Father Athol (Pere) Murray: 
  • who embodies an awareness of the spiritual 
  • who demonstrates leadership through deeds and actions 
  • who communicates effectively with and inspires others 
  • who shows exemplary moral conduct, coupled with the courage to act according to his/her convictions. 
The award also recognizes the individual's respect for his/her peers and for the larger community, along with sensitivity to social and cultural values. 


2020 Pere Murray Award Winner:

Brendan Kerr is a 2-year Hound who served as House Leader at Seaman Hall and Assistant Captain on his Midget AAA hockey team in grade 12. He is respected by both staff and students at Notre Dame as a hard worker, a humble leader, and a team player. He does his jobs right with character and with integrity at all times. He has a great connection with God and is always striving to learn more about how to become a better leader. Brendan is simply a good-hearted and kind natured human being.  He is fair, extremely helpful, leads by example, and is an integral part of the community in which he lives.
