The College is overjoyed to see the tremendous support towards “It’s a Hound Thing” Day! Thanks to the strength of the global Hound community of alumni, students, staff, faculty, parents, families and friends of the College, we reached our goal of 250 donors in 24 hours! To provide a quick recap:
The College is overjoyed to see the tremendous support towards “It’s a Hound Thing” Day! Thanks to the strength of the global Hound community of alumni, students, staff, faculty, parents, families and friends of the College, we reached our goal of 250 donors in 24 hours! To provide a quick recap:
- By 9:39 AM we had met our first challenge, reaching 50 donors to receive a gift of $5,000.
- By 5:15 PM we had received the 100th gift from an alumni donor and 150 total donations total unlocking $20,000 - triggering the rest of the $25,000 gift by alumnus Mike Yoshino’91 and his wife Masako, of Sai Kung, Hong Kong - Partner at Pleiad Investment Advisors Limited.
- At 9:42 PM we received our 250th gift to meet the ultimate challenge of having the support of 250 members of our community - we did it! By reaching this goal, the final challenge donation of $25,000 was made by an anonymous donor.
Thank you for helping us ensure Notre Dame met these generous Match Challengers and surpassed our goal with 292 donors, raising over $112,000 in support of the 2018-2019 Hounds Fund!
For everyone who shared their story, reposted the message and made the day truly special, we are very grateful! Your support helps to power Notre Dame’s commitment to offering our students an exceptional education and boarding experience in a supportive and caring environment from the moment they arrive at Notre Dame.
