Together We Made A Difference - Thank You

Thanks to the strength of the global Hound community of alumni, students, staff, faculty, parents, families and friends of the College, we reached our goal of 250 donors in 24-hours!
 
To provide a quick recap:
  • By 9:00 am we had met our first challenge, reaching 50 donors to receive a match gift of $5,000 from an anonymous donor.
  • By 3:00 pm we had received the 100th gift from an alumni donor, triggering a matching gift from our Chancellor of the Board of Regents, Gerry Maier’46 ofCalgary, AB – Officer of the Order of Canada and former Chairman, President and CEO of TransCanada Pipelines Ltd.
  • At 11:28 pm we received our 250th gift to meet the ultimate challenge of having the support of 250 members of our community - we did it! By reaching this goal, the final match donation of $25,000 was made by Mike Yoshino’91 and his wife Masako, of Sai Kung, Hong Kong - Partner at Pleiad Investment Advisors Limited.
               
Thank you for helping us ensure Notre Dame met these generous Match Challengers and surpassed our goal with 257 donors, raising over $102,000 in support of the 2017-2018 HoundsFund. For everyone who shared their story, reposted the message and made the day truly special, we are very grateful! Your support helps to power Notre Dame’s commitment to offering our students an exceptional education and boarding experience in a supportiveand caring environment from the moment they arrive at Notre Dame.
