Lino grew up in Manotick, Ontario just south of Ottawa. Here, he played AAA for the Upper Canada Cyclones of the OEMHL and Jr. A for the Cumberland Grads of the CJHL. He then spent four years playing junior hockey for the Thunder Bay Stars.
Lino has spent time working with various hockey organizations. He was the lead on-ice instructor at Rideau Valley Rebels AAA hockey school, an on-ice skills instructor with Turcotte Stickhandling, head coach of the Ottawa Little Sens AAA team, and an instructor with the Carleton Ravens hockey camps.
In Thunder Bay, Lino attained his Honours Bachelor of Kinesiology as well as his Bachelor of Education from Lakehead University. He was also part of the Kinesiology at Lakehead University board (K.A.L.U) representing all students within the program.
Upon graduating, Lino headed straight out to Wilcox to join the staff at Notre Dame. Here, he has taught and coached our Bantam Hounds. In 2015-2016, he helped coach the Bantam AAA Hounds to a league championship and provincial final. Following that season, Lino has been the head coach of the Bantam AA Hounds playing in the SBAAHL. Lino has also spent time working with the Seattle Thunderbirds of the WHL.
