Our Program

The Notre Dame Men’s Hockey program is one of the most prestigious programs in the world. With over 195 Hounds drafted or signed to the NHL, hockey development is at the forefront of our program.

Every year we have representation provincially, nationally and internationally from our student athletes.

Notre Dame offers men’s hockey starting with our Jr.A Hounds right down to our Bantam Program.

"Notre Dame is one of the best places to succeed and mature as an athlete and as a person, and it prepares you for your next step in life, it is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, and I recommend it to absolutely everybody." ~ Jaden Schwartz'10, St.Louis Blues
Notre Dame has 9 men’s hockey teams:
  •  2 Bantam
  •  6 Midget
  •  1 Junior A
Bantam players are 14 years and younger, Midget Players are 17 years and younger, while Junior A is for players aged 20 years and younger. All ages are as of December 31st of the current season. Players are on the ice four to six times per week including practices and games. Notre Dame’s Olympic sized ice surface is the only one in the province of Saskatchewan.

To select our men’s teams, our coaching staff will use a combination of practices, fitness components, scrimmages, and exhibition games to select their teams prior to October 1st.

The Midget AAA Male Hounds won back to back National Telus Cup Champships in 2009 & 2010.
