“If you are considering Notre Dame in your future, I say just go for it – take that jump, because it’s going to change your life. It will help you step out of your comfort zone discover who you are and what you really love. If I hadn’t gone to Notre Dame, I can’t see how I’d ever have made it to Wisconsin, and everything that has followed. If you’re a parent it might be hard to let your kids go, but my message is … let them go. Let them learn how to be accountable and responsible and grow up, and to be who they are around other kids doing the same thing. Give them the enormous benefit of being guided by the most amazing teachers and coaches anywhere. It really is just like a big family, and everyone looks after everyone else. You learn how to work, and discover the importance of finding balance in your life. Without Notre Dame, I don’t think I would ever have found it.”
