| Monsignor Athol Murray | |
|
Since Père's death on December 15, 1975, his body rests in front of St. Augustine's Church in the shadow of the Tower of God. On St. Augustine's Day in August, 1977, Athol Murray's family, the Maynards of Toronto, dedicated the memorial stone with its very special inscriptions. On special occasions the flame is lit to honour our founder. The inscription reads as follows: "Canadien Extraordinaire - Priest, Teacher, Humanist, Sportsman, Philosopher". "SLEEP WELL, GREAT HEART, YOUR WORKS ENDURE" |

| Sister Edith McCullough | |
| Mother Edith, who served Notre Dame as teacher, principal, Sister and Mother Superior for 30 years, was laid to rest in this place of honour next to Père. She was Père's alter ego, the rudder to his spiritual leadership. In Père's words, "Much of the credit that is given to me for achievement of the College really is due to this little woman." | ![]() |
