5a.m. the bus was packed - The Hounds were on their way. It was hockey in North Dakota- They invited us down to play.

Wilcox, Weyburn, Estevan Soon Canada would be left behind. But first the border-I.D., questions. The 49th a much more tenser line.
But after some pointed questions, And satisfied with the 'whats' and 'whys', They waved us on and from the bus, Came relief and a relaxing sigh.
Since Iraq Canada and U.S. relations, Have been somewhat strained. As 'boos' came out during the anthems, At U.S./Canada games.
Cherry's Coaches Corner blasting, Canada for not being there. The U.S. Ambassadors' tongue lashing, Has helped create tension in the air.
Now were going to play hockey, In Hazen U.S.A. How will they greet us-or will the politics Be the subject of the day.
But then we passed a sign, That greeted people to their town. That summed up their feelings, To Notre Dame and the battling Hounds.
