Hounds for Humanity Hounds for Humanity is a volunteer senior student outreach group whose mission is to go "above and beyond" the required works of mercy. Each Notre Dame student from Grade 9 through 12 is required to do 10 hours of Works of Mercy for their Christian Ethics class. The "H4H" students volunteer to do the little extras. The group has chosen to focus itself on trying to fulfill Blessed Mother Teresa's wisdom of doing, "small things with great love". The group does not have political aims and simply tries to help out human beings who are suffering and are in need of some help. Some of the activities that H4H is annually involved in are:
