Father Athol Murray's question to a student was, "Do you want to do something with your life?" He had a vision when he came to Notre Dame in 1927. He wanted to do more than simply educate students; he wanted to develop well-rounded, complete young men and women -- individuals of strong character, who would go out and make a meaningful difference in the professions and communities they would serve. Our staff works extremely hard to ensure each student develops to his or her full potential - in mind, body and spirit. Both the community and our staff welcome and engage each student in every facet of school, community and spiritual life. Our commitment to the development of the whole person and bringing out the best in each student provides a strong foundation for future leaders and community builders possessing the strength, character and conviction to make a difference in their communities, and most importantly, believing they can. It is an educational experience that truly is life-changing. Costs to provide this exceptional educational experience steadily increase each year. Père's strongest desire was that no student be turned away due to financial need. This continues to be our goal. Students are drawn to Notre Dame for its passion and spirit - a passion for challenge and growth, and our reputation as a strong competitor.
