Student Leadership Opportunities at the College:
- House Leaders (Boarding)
- Grade 12 students are selected to assist House Parents in the daily operation of boarding.
- Works of Mercy
- Students are required to perform a minimum of 10 hours of community service per year.
- Hounds for Humanity
- Students organize events in conjunction with local community groups - blood donor clinics, fundraising events, etc.
- Student Representative Council (SRC)
- A group of students who perform numerous functions at the college:
- A recognized channel of communication between the College and the students.
- Plan and promote various social functions.
- Guide and support the College in the promotions of school spirit.
- To promote an understanding of the rights and privileges, responsibilities and duties of the students.
- Duke of Edinburgh Award Program.
- The Duke of Edinburgh's Award Program is an exciting self development program available to all young people. This program equips young people with life skills to make a difference to themselves, their communities and the world. This program now reaches over 100 countries, motivating young people to undertake a variety of voluntary and challenging activities.
The Program asks students to commit to excel in areas of service, expeditions, skills and physical recreation. It is about making a lasting impact on both the participant and their communities. This Award has three levels (Bronze, Silver and Gold) which reflect age, achievement, and development.
Participate in this challenging yet rewarding leadership program is open to students in Grade 10,11and 12.
