Alumni - Association Activities

  • Special Dinners/Openings - Held annually on campus and throughout the Branches. All alumni, parents and friends are invited to participate at such gatherings.

  • Class Reunions - All past classes of the College are encouraged to return to Notre Dame on the Alumni Weekend in May to celebrate and mark their five, ten, up to their fiftieth+ anniversary of graduation. The Alumni Grad Induction & Recognition Supper Friday evening begins the weekend event. The College's current graduation class is welcomed into the Alumni Association with a complimentary dinner at the college. Alumni, Branch Presidents, President of the National Alumni Association, College President, faculty, and a key note speaker are in attendance. Each year as is customary after the dinner the Association's annual social commences at the Hotel Saskatchewan in Regina from 9:00pm - 12:00pm for all alumni and their spouses/guests. The Saskatchewan Alumni Branch encourages participation in their annual event. Planned campus tours, baseball games, Sunday Mass and brunch are some of the activities this weekend. The National Alumni's (AGM) annual general meeting is also held during this time.

  • Alumni Grad Induction & Recognition Supper - The College's current graduating class is welcomed into the Alumni Association with a complimentary dinner at the College. Alumni, Branch Presidents, President of the National Alumni Association, the College President, faculty and staff, Chairman of the Board of Regents and an alumni keynote speaker are in attendance. Alumni certificates and the official school crest are presented inDIVidually to the members of the graduating class. Recognition awards are presented to past alumni who have demonstrated commitment to the College through a financial and/or volunteer capacity. This is the highlight of the Association's annual social calendar.

  • Alumni Weekend - The Alumni Grad Induction & Recognition Supper begins the weekend event. Reunion classes return to campus. The Saskatchewan Alumni Golf tournament encourages participation in their annual event. Planned campus tours, baseball games, Sunday Mass and brunch are regular activities this weekend. The National Annual General Meeting takes place followed by a barbecue at the College President's home.

  • Graduation - The end of the year is completed with the College's graduation ceremonies. Representation by the National Alumni President is noted through his participation in the day's festivities and his message to the departing Grade 12 class.

  • Golf Tournaments - The Saskatchewan Alumni Branch and the Alberta Alumni Branch annually host and organize two very large golf tournaments. Proceeds enable both Saskatchewan and Alberta students to attend Notre Dame. These tournaments are open to everyone to participate (do not have to be an alumnus). 'Hole' sponsors are solicited to defray costs and items for a prize table are obtained through donation. The tournaments are generally a shotgun start with a dinner following.   • Class Reps - Each graduating class appoints four class representatives whose duties will include locating their graduating class for reunions and events/activities that support the College. The class representatives also assist the Alumni Office in maintaining accurate records of names and addresses of past students.

  • Homecoming - Homecoming is held every five years at Athol Murray College of Notre Dame. All alumni, parents, grandparents, family and friends are welcome to participate. A steering committee composed of the Executive Board and Branch Presidents organizes the weekend event. This is the highlight of the Associations social calendar and attracts as many as 600 alumni from around the world.

  • Bursary Fundraising - Alumni raise funds through bingo and casino participation, inDIVidual pledges, and class sponsorship to maintain current bursaries and fund new bursaries. Bursaries enable students to attend the College and are a means to ensure financial aid is given to those students who require additional funding.

  • Branch Events - Activities are arranged at each branch location every year. Branch activities are planned and organized by branch Presidents, with the Alumni Office.

  • Recognition Awards - These awards are presented annually to alumni for their dedication and volunteer work for the College.

  • Newshound - The Newshound is a publication produced quarterly from the Office of the Alumni containing feature articles about the College and members of the College community as well as a personal section (births, deaths, marriages), letters and branch activity reports. Your achievements and accomplishments are gratefully accepted!

  • Alumni Directory - A directory of names, class years, occupations and geographical locations of Hounds.

  • Annual Report - The Annual Report primarily contains financial information and donor lists. All donors to the College or its Foundations are recognized in the report. This document is available to all members of the College upon request. Subsequent sections for the Annual Report can be found in the Newshound.
