The Notre Dame family and the village of Wilcox are proud to share with you the news that one of our own sons Jaden Schwartz has been selected 14th overall by the St. Louis Blues in the 2010 NHL draft.

Jaden has had a whirlwind week that has included his High School Graduation from Notre Dame on Saturday followed by a trip to Los Angeles for the NHL draft. Jaden, a native of Wilcox, attend elementary school in Wilcox and played bantam, midget and Jr hockey at Notre Dame. Jaden was joined in Los Angeles by his mom and dad (Rick and Carol) his older brother Rylan plus extended family and friends. Draft day was also Jaden's 18th birthday! A birthday he'll never forget!

Our little village of Wilcox will not soon forget the words, "And with the 14th pick the St. Louis Blues select, from Wilcox, Saskatchewan, Jaden Schwartz".
