The Notre Dame family would like to congratulate former Notre Dame faculty member Darren Olson on his recent induction into the Alberta Sports Hall of Fame. Olson and his 1983 Vanier Cup Calgary Dinosaurs University football teammates were inducted into the Hall of Fame in a wonderful evening evening of celebration on Friday, May 28th in Red Deer, Alberta.

Darren 'Oly' Olson had a long and illustrious career at Notre Dame College that spanned over 20 years from 1986 to 2007. During that time Darren served Notre Dame as a teacher, Houseparent, Athletic Director and Principal. It goes without saying that Darren served Notre Dame as Head Football coach for many of those years helping numerous Hounds make the step to CIS Football and the Canadian Football League. Darren was joined at Notre Dame his fellow faculty member Shirley and his 2 children Thomi and Kiefer. Darren is currently Headmaster of Tanbridge Academy in Calgary, Alberta.
