"To him who does what in him lies, God will not deny his grace." Over a century ago, a young James Athol Murray read those words by St. Augustine of Hippo. The inspiration that Athol Murray drew from that simple sentiment propelled the young scholar to a life dedicated to the glory of God. Pere’s achievements have included memberships in the Order of Canada and the Hockey Hall of Fame and, of course, founding Notre Dame College. Aside from his many accolades, perhaps Pere Murray’s greatest legacy rests in the character of the thousands of "Hounds" who have left Notre Dame equipped to face life’s challenges head on.

As a Notre Dame Hound, you will inherit the legacy of those who have gone before you. Over the years, Notre Dame alumni have gone on to become NHL players, corporate executives, Olympians, authors, Hollywood actors, and politicians. At Notre Dame, you will become empowered to achieve whatever goal you set for yourself. You will come to realize, as Pere Murray did, that with God’s grace, anything is possible. You will be challenged intellectually, physically and creatively through our academic, athletic and fine arts programs. You will be given the opportunity for personal discovery and spiritual growth.

The Admissions Department plays an integral role in the mission of Notre Dame. Often, we are your first point of contact and as such, will guide you through the process of application to registration and beyond. Our team will strive to get to know you as an individual. We will learn your strengths and aspirations and will set you on a path that will help you achieve excellence in whatever field you choose.

If your path includes the Athol Murray College of Notre Dame, we invite you to come to our campus for a visit. On your campus tour, you will be able have a skate on our Olympic-sized ice surface, visit our residences and have lunch at the Varsity Hall cafeteria. You will also be able to sit in on a class and visit our museum and archives which house our world-renowned collection of art, rare books, and historical artifacts.
