Advanced Placement Advanced Placement (AP) programs at Notre Dame offer students enriched curriculum in a regular classroom setting. To enrol in these classes, students must have achieved a minimum standing of 85% in the prerequisite course. Grade 12 students have the opportunity to take Advanced Placement English Literature, Art, Chemistry, Psychology and Calculus. Students enrolled in the Advanced Placement classes must write the Advanced Placement exam in May. The AP exams each have a cost of 90 U.S. dollars .A competitive result on this exam offers students the opportunity to earn credit or advanced standing at many universities in Canada and the United States. The Advanced Placement program provides students valuable preparation for the academic rigors of university. Courses will only be offered if student enrolment meets the minimum requirement. |
