Athol Murray College of Notre Dame is pleased to announce that Rob Palmarin has been appointed President and Director of Education of the College effective July 1, 2009. Currently, Mr. Palmarin serves as Vice Principal at Michael A. Riffel High School in Regina. He received his B. Ed. in 1985 from the University of Regina and taught at Archbishop M.C. O'Neill High School until 1988. Rob then pursued his Masters in Theology at the Francisan University of Steubenville and shortly after began working at Notre Dame. Rob has been an active member of the campus community for 18 years acting as the Dean of Spiritual Development, Director of College. Programs, respected teacher, and valued coach.

Mo Bundon, Chairman of the Board of Regents said "The Board is delighted that Rob has accepted the challenge to lead Notre Dame. He has demonstrated sound leadership and judgment as an educator, coach and trusted colleague. We are excited to have Rob and his wife Wendy and their six children bringing their gifts to the College".

Rob has been described as a true Notre Dame man who is sound from centre to circumference and will undoubtedly be an outstanding ambassador for the College. Rob who very much looks forward to his return to Notre Dame stated, "I am humbled that I have been chosen to be able to return to Notre Dame and to serve the College as President. It is a great honour but also a huge challenge to take up the torch and contribute to the Notre Dame mission of enhancing the education and formation of young people. Our family is also looking forward to becoming part of the Wilcox and St. Augustine community and is excited about renewing old friendships and getting to know the new members of the school and village."

Rob is returning to Notre Dame with his wife Wendy and six sons; Joseph 14, Mark 13, David 11, Michael 8, Phillip 6 and Vincent 3.
